Our Silver Mentoring Programme offers regular contact with your mentor – in the form of one 40 minute telephone or instant chat conversation per month and one e-mail session per week.
(An e-mail session includes a substantial e-mail from you, with an update for your business mentor and discussion of any current issues, then a substantial reply from your mentor, which may include tasks and suggestions, plus one further e-mail back and forth to clarify any outstanding points.)
Having regular e-mail contact with my mentor helped me to stay focused and keep the business on track. Sometimes it was good to just to have a sounding board and objective opinion, but my mentor also offered many suggestions and ideas that helped us to move forward much more quickly than I think we would have done otherwise. When you have completed your payment you will be taken to a short form where you can provide information about yourself, your business and its current stage of development. This information will be treated in strictest confidence and used only to match you to a suitable mentor and provide your mentor with some initial background information.
